Chaplaincy Program

A Unity Chaplain is:
Someone who prays with others
Someone who supports others on their spiritual journey.
Someone who creates and holds sacred space for others
Someone who listens and holds what is said in strict confidence

A chaplain has two main duties:
To pray with anyone who asks after the worship services.
To call a certain number of members each month to provide prayer support.

Our church has established the Unity Chaplain program so that every member is regularly offered prayer and support. Being part of the Unity chaplain team is a service opportunity for church members who are truly looking to deepen their spiritual growth. Volunteer chaplains make a one year commitment and agree to extensive training. We invite you to consider prayerfully whether this could be an area of service for you and to attend the orientation session to learn more. All training dates are mandatory for those who become chaplains.
