Neil Mowles
Director of Music

Neil Mowles, Director of Music

Mr. Mowles oversees all aspects of the music program at Unity Church of Dallas. He directs the Singing Unity adult choir, books our outstanding Guest Artists program and, along with Reverend Ed Townley, our Friday’s at Creekside series.

Mr. Mowles has been a church choir director for the past 20 years and spent 12 years as a public high school choral and theatre director. He is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University where he was also an adjunct Instructor of voice for several years.

Mr. Mowles has been the producer, musical and stage director for many of the fine theatrical productions at UCD, including Guys and Dolls, A Grand Night for Singing, Spoon River Anthology and Working. He is a member of the Actor’s Equity Association, the union of professional actors, and has performed extensively throughout the Metroplex at such theaters as Casa Manana, Theatre 3, the Morton H. Meyerson Performance Hall, the Bass Performance Hall, Stage West, Circle Theatre, Granbury Opera House, Theatre Arlington, as well as in theatres across the country.

Mr. Mowles and his wife, Patricia, reside in Fort Worth, where they are very involved with several animal rescue organizations and urge everyone to spay and neuter their pets!

Bob Goodwin
Associate Director
of Music

Mr. Goodwin has been a fixture at UCD for many years and continues to amaze with his versatile keyboard skills. He is in demand as pianist across the Metroplex and as organist and pianist, he accompanies all services at Unity Church of Dallas and plays for weddings, memorials, soloists, and any special occasions.
