Neil Mowles
Director of Music
In 2005 Neil
came
to UCD after 13 joyful years as Music Director at Polytechnic
United Methodist Church in Fort Worth. During that time, he also
taught Vocal Music and Theatre Arts at the high school level and
Private Voice at Texas Wesleyan University. As an actor, Neil
has appeared in over 75 productions throughout the Metroplex and
around the country, including the record-breaking productions
of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change at both Theatre
3 and Circle Theatre and 28 months in Casa Manana’s Forever
Plaid. Neil would like to thank his family and beautiful wife,
Patricia, for their constant love and support and the staff and
congregation at UCD for making him feel so warmly welcomed. Neil
is grateful to God for bringing him to UCD and looks forward to
a long and productive Ministry of Music here.

Laura Sutherland
Reception/Office Administrator
After a year of both volunteering as, and also coordinating
a team of volunteers to man - make that
WOman - the front desk at UCD, the powers-that-be saw fit to
actually offer Laura a permanent, and thank you God, paid
position as the church Receptionist.
Naturally, as one not being content with leaving well-enough alone,
Laura managed to take on various other tasks serving her
fellow staffers, and soon added another
title to her job description – that of Office Administrator. If you
need to know what’s up at UCD, Laura will either know it or know who
does!
Although rock climbing isn’t as big on her to do list, she does
really enjoy theater, film, Kitties (so there, Russell), dogs and...
Quantum Physics. Her uber-talented,
musical genius husband, Ken Sutherland, is
the cream in her coffee and her stars at
night. (Thanks for loving me, honey!
ILYFANO.)

Erica
Greenhouse
Executive
Assistant to Ministers and Board of Directors
Erica has been the executive assistant
to every minister who has ever served at Unity Church of Dallas.
She attended her first service here in December 1972 and, after
volunteering in most capacities, went to work as assistant to Dr.
Donald Curtis in 1985. She tried leaving for a couple of other jobs
but couldn’t stay away. Erica feels that her life is one of service
and she loves being on the staff of the Unity Church of Dallas.
Erica grew up in
London, England, immigrated to the United States in 1961 and was
employed at the headquarters of the Christian Science church in
Boston for 11 years. She moved to Dallas to work for Liquid Paper
Corporation. Erica’s passions are living creatures of all kinds
(she lives with two incredibly loving Siamese cats), being outdoors
in nature, music (she took her final piano examinations at the Royal
Academy of Music in London, has played the clarinet in orchestras
and has been a member of various choruses). She is very close to
her sister and brother-in-law who live in England, and she is most
grateful for true friends.

Russell
Duckworth
Project Manager/IT
Russell
Duckworth has enjoyed a long relationship with Unity Church of
Dallas beginning in 1989 and taking a new form in June 2004 as
he joined the staff. In addition to being responsible for documenting
organizational procedures, managing technology within the organization,
assisting in operational elements, and just doing whatever it
takes to make it all work together, Russell is pursuing LUT certification as a next
step in ministry.
Russell's cat-free life includes: a beautiful, joyful, and loving
wife, Dana; happy, healthy children: Tristan, Melody, Sean, Dylan & Kaia; Sputnik III:
a slightly-neurotic Yorkshire terrier; and our beautiful chessadore,
Daphne.
Russell
received his Bachelor of Business Administration at Baylor University.

Charles Alexander
Facilities Manager
"This is
the job I've been training for my whole life" says Charles in
reference to his position as Facilities Manager here at Unity.
Combining his love of service with a degree in Theatre Arts from
Baylor University, he feels very comfortable fitting in with the
Ministers, Staff and Congregants at the Church. He would like to
thank God (and his good friend Alan Hanna) for steering him to Unity
and giving him the opportunity and privilege of working here.

Majona Mason
Youth & Family Ministries - Children's Church
coordinator
Majona brings her love for
teaching and 12 years of experience at the preschool and
elementary levels with her, as well as administration
experience. Most importantly, she brings her enthusiasm and
strong desire to offer children a loving environment rich in
learning opportunities and experiences.
Her knight in
shining armor, a.k.a. husband, Bob, beautiful daughters, Tayler
and Marisa, and amazing son, Brock, are the centers of her
life. She’s so grateful that these wonderful spiritual beings
agreed to spend this lifetime as such an integral part of her
life. Throw three rescued dogs, a large extended family, and
many cherished friends into the mix, and you have the energetic
blend that makes up the Mason household.Back

Jan Pearman
Volunteer Co-Director
Jan joined Unity at the Village in
1981, and after moving to Dallas in 1985, became a member of
UCD. She was just “an attendee” until the early 90’s when she
was inspired to become an active volunteer.
Her passion
for pastoral care began in 1998 after experiencing a serious
health challenge. The unwavering prayer support of Rev. John
Webster and a realization of the transformational benefits of
prayer support and spiritual guidance when facing difficulty
truly changed Jan’s life. Within weeks, she began training to
become part of Rev. Webster’s pastoral care team, and eagerly
became a chaplain when the chaplaincy program began.
Jan spent
most of her working career in the healthcare industry, the last
19 years at UT Southwestern Medical Center/Ophthalmology
Department at Dallas where she retired in August, 2006. She
joined the UCD Staff as Volunteer Co-Director and Pastoral Care
Administrator in July, 2007.
Jan lives with
Gracie, her cocoa brown Chihuahua in what she considers to be
her perfect place and setting…a townhouse overlooking Lake Ray
Hubbard, where she is constantly reminded that life is good and
the presence and power of God is “awesome”!
