Although Buddhism has been called a religion, philosophy, spiritual movement, and an atheistic rejection of traditional religion, it is very are to pin down. Growing from the teaching of a most unlikely prophet, Siddhartha Gautama, its real story is about one man's ability and drive to move away from traditional Hinduism while still keeping certain crucial elements of that ancient religion. Siddhartha's new formulation has had a universal appeal that has allowed it to flourish far away from its Hindu roots and that has given it a viability to prosper even to the present day.

Although 9-11-2001 was one of the saddest days in American history, it was merely a footnote in the 4,000 year old conflict that has cost uncounted lives and changed the fate of nations. This presentation will focus on the deep history behind this tumultous event.
