Mindful self-compassion is a practice that offers the skills and tools to be friends with yourself, treating yourself as you would others you care about in your life. This presentation will provide participants with an introduction to the practice and the types of skills that are part of being self-compassionate. Participants will also gain insight into the benefits of self-compassion for everyone, and more specifically, for caregivers and those in recovery.

Denette Mann, M.Ed., has been in private practice as a psychotherapist since 2003 specializing in trauma, life transition, attachment, and family counseling. She is a  certified Mindful Self-Compassion Trainer, a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor and EMDR-Certified. .
