Join facilitators Teresa Johnson and Lauren Arnold as they help you to deal with the loss of a loved one during this six-week online class. This initial class will be limited to 10 participants.

”Deposits of unfinished grief reside [in many of our] . . . hearts. Until these pockets are opened and their contents aired openly they block unimagined amounts of human growth and potential. They give rise to bizarre and unexplainable behavior while causing untold internal stress.” Robert Kavanaugh, Facing Death.

We will meet in a small group for six weeks to help grieving members unblock our growth and release our potential. Our goal is to take courageous steps as we look realistically at grief, share our experiences, and together determine how to reconcile life without our loved one.

Your facilitators are Lauren Arnold and Teresa Cumbie Johnson.

Lauren currently serves on the Board of Directors as Treasurer. She works in public accounting and is the owner of Tantor Culture Consultants, a company founded to provide trauma-informed training. She is a Certified Trauma & Grief Recovery Coach and Certified Critical Incident Stress Debriefer. Her specialized work regarding the effects of stress and trauma in First Responders has been presented internationally. Lauren was inspired to advocate trauma-informed training & education after realizing the negative affects her own unresolved trauma and early childhood grief had on her relationships and career.

Teresa is a new UOD member and recently joined the Finance Committee. She lost her husband of 32 years in January 2021 and recently retired as a vendor manager for a high-tech company. She is looking forward to learning together how we can move forward through our grief and manage our feelings of loss.
