Morning Tai Chi with George Deerfield ~ 8:30am Every Saturday
Join Tai Chi Chuan instructor George Deerfield for this interactive class in developing strength, balance, improved breathing (which has been shown to lower blood pressure) and stress reduction through light therapeutic exercise and a Tai Chi form which you can practice on your own.
Saturday Meditation with Al Mahesh ~ 9:30am Every Saturday
For all experience levels from no experience to long-time meditators! Come experience the power of meditating in a group! In this class facilitated by Al Mahesh from Ananda Dallas, and Don Drake from Unity of Dallas, participants are exposed to meditation in the style of Paramhansa Yogananda, a Self-Realized master, author of Autobiography of a Yogi, and pioneer who brought Yoga to the West and taught the similarities between the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita.
Essential Oils Basics Class with Casey Merritt Turnquist ~ Noon First Saturday of each month
How can essential oils enhance your life physically, emotionally, and spiritually? Come to this fun and interactive class to learn how to safely and effectively use these gifts of the earth. Learn how essential oils can be easily incorporated into your life to reach your wellness goals.
Fitness Bootcamp with Pete Asplund and Dylan Morgan ~ 10:30am Every Saturday
We will meet every Saturday morning at 10am at the Red House driveway, where fitness equipment will be staged and ready. The weekly training sessions will be fun and invigorating, focusing on bodyweight exercises, functional fitness, and circuit training to gain benefits for the full body. Dylan Morgan and Pete Asplund combine for decades of athletic and functional fitness training, nutrition consulting and wellness coaching.
Sunday Morning Meditation with Al Mahesh ~ 10am Every Sunday
Join Al Mahesh and friends between services each Sunday, gathering in prayer, contemplation, and meditation 10am to 10:50. Rays of the One Light is based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda—a great spiritual master from India, and author of the beloved classic, Autobiography of a Yogi.
Self Care Sunday ~ 12:30pm-4pm Second Sunday of each month
Join us the Second Sunday of every month! Unity of Dallas hosts an opportunity to explore and experience a variety of healing modalities, and to learn from spotlight speakers about their healing techniques. Healing sessions of all kinds are always offered without charge, and the Practitioners are providing their services as a gift to all of us. We encourage and graciously receive love offerings so that we may expand and grow this unique opportunity for healing within our community and throughout the broader community that we serve.
Pranic Healing ~ 12:30pm Fourth Sunday of each month
Pranic Healing is a simple, yet powerful system of no-touch energy healing. Prana is a Sanskrit word that means life-force.
This healing is based on the fundamental principles that the body is a self-repairing living entity that possesses the ability to heal itself. The healing process is accelerated by increasing this life force that is readily available from the sun, air and ground to address physical, emotional, psychological issues and to bring about Prosperity and Spirituality into our lives.
BEMER ~ 12:30pm Fourth Sunday of each month
The Bemer simply enhances blood flow into the small capillaries which in turn allows the body to transport more oxygen and nutrients to each cell.
When this happens, miraculous healing can take place.
Sessions are only eight minutes but the effects on the body last much longer.
Meditation Mondays with Lynne Patterson ~ 7pm Every Monday
Explore meditation practices with Lynne Patterson each week that will complement and deepen your existing practice or assist you in developing a new practice. We will explore various breath, sound and meditation techniques each week. Enjoy the many benefits of meditation such as stress reduction and mental clarity. We will also address ways to deal with resistance to it.
Meditation Happy Hour ~ 4pm-6:30pm Every Tuesday
The chapel is open from 4pm-6pm, and you are invited to drop in and out at whatever time you choose. Not a guided meditation, just a chance to site quietly with other meditators in a calm, energetic space.
iRest Meditation ~ 6:30pm Every Tuesday
Find your Inner Resource, restore the soul and transform stressful experiences into personal well-being and renewed purpose. May help with sleep, pain management, and symptoms of PTS.
"Meditation and Me" with Lynne Patterson ~ 7pm First Wednesday of each month
New Monthly Class!!! Meditation and You. At one time or another, everyone who meditates has believed one or more of those things written above. Then they discovered that meditation is a supportive, calming, and energizing practice. Meditation reduces stress, improves the mind-body connection, and enhances your relationship with yourself and everyone around you.
Meditation on Twin Hearts ~ 7pm Every Thursday
Meditation on Twin Hearts is a simple yet powerful technique introduced by Master Choa Kok Sui for achieving cosmic consciousness or what we often call “illumination.”
Movement, Meditation, Mandala: Journey through the Chakras Series ~ 7pm Fridays in February and March
Beyond that, you will deepen your understanding and personal practice of stress-reduction and mindfulness by exploring simple breathing and meditation techniques in a fun and interactive workshop. The effective and natural exercises will have you radiating with a sense of well-being in every area of your life.
