What is your purpose in life? Your personal mission statement?

It doesn’t have to be long or complex. It can be simple.

I want to make the world a better place for all to be in by…(fill in the blank).

Through using Unity’s Five Principles, we hope to make our world and the lives of those around us better:

  1. God is the source and creator of all. There is no other enduring power. God is good and present everywhere. (God Is)
  2. We are spiritual beings, created in God’s image. The spirit of God lives within each person; therefore, all people are inherently good. (I Am)
  3. We create our life experiences through our way of thinking. (I Create)
  4. There is power in affirmative prayer, which we believe increases our awareness of God. (I Pray & Meditate)
  5. Knowledge of these spiritual principles is not enough. We must live them. (I Act)

In addition to these principles, we have many books we study to learn new ways of thinking and being in the world.

We practice Metaphysical Interpretation when we study books like the Bible–we look at the underlying symbology using a special dictionary and our understanding of the stories we are learning from.

Our Evolutionary Purpose Statement is our guide as we live our day-to-day lives.

"Transforming lives and inspiring people to make a positive difference in our world.”

We are humans and we can forget to look at life through our Unity lens and way of being.

We use tools we have like gratitude, affirmations, the Daily Word, prayers, all kinds of meditations (including active and walking), yoga and other forms of movement, music and more as ways to remember what we want and how we want to be in the world.

Each new day is a gift we open to start fresh and live the way we want to be-with gratitude, joy and creativity.

Won’t you join us?
