The Pleasures of Having Faith

 Where is life taking me?

Where was I meant to go?

I’m fully aware in my heart

That only God knows 

Each day is a new adventure

One unlike any others before

Some that are a bit of a challenge

While others I absolutely adore 

That is what makes life magical

And intrigues each and every day

Those are the miraculous happenings

That inspire me to meditate and pray 

From the moment I open my eyes

I question what will be next

Will I feel like God has touched me

Or do I feel like I’ve been hexed 

All that I know for sure

Is that it will be perfect in everyway

Whether its grand and magnificent

Or it leaves me with very little to say 

I make every effort

To leave those martyrs behind

For they are the very ones

That will mess with your mind 

Do you believe that God is the energy

That runs your molecules and dendrites

And even when it may not be what you expected

You still believe that it is perfectly precious and right 

Somewhere along my winding path

I decided to “Let go and let God”

And now everything seems so much easier

And my journey does not seem like such a job…
