About the roundtable guests:

Dr. Dina Hijazi, PhD, CSAT: I have committed my professional career to serving the psychological, social and emotional needs of my clients. As a licensed psychologist, my clinical practice focuses on the holistic treatment of relationships, including individual and couples therapy, family conflict, trauma and addiction.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Purdue University, a Master of Arts in psychology from Notre Dame University, and a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Texas, Austin. My postdoctoral education includes clinical training in family systems therapy and more recent postdoctoral training in trauma and addiction provided by Pia Mellody and Patrick Carnes. I also hold a national certification in Sex Addiction Therapy (CSAT), Multiple Addiction Therapy (CMAT), and am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). I’ve shared my passion and expertise on a regular basis through The Meadows Lecture Series, The Dallas Free Lecture Series, as well as speaking at universities, conferences, and schools.

Rev. Daniel Gowan, LPC-S, LCDC, CSAT: I began my counseling career in ministry and use this background to integrate spiritual principles into helping clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their partner and other important people in their lives. I offer private counseling to individuals, couples, families and groups.

I have a Master of Arts in Counseling from Amberton University and a Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. I am credentialed as an LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor) and LPC-S (Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor). Both of these credentials are licenses from the State of Texas. In addition, I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT-C) and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Dina and I both consult with businesses, churches and organizations around conflict management, relational policies and emotional development within the organization.
